How do I know whether I get the student visa to Germany or not after the interview?
When I applied for a bisa to the US, if they kept the passport meant they would grant the visa. I don't know how it works for Germany.

You will be sent a letter, they will not tell you at the interview if you are approved. So just relax in the mean time, they don't get in any hurry to grant Visa's. Sorry I know that's not the answer you wanted but. Good Luck.

What should I do with my exchange student from Germany?
What should I do with my exchange student from Germany?
I live in Oregon and am hosting a German in a couple of weeks. I am not sure as to what activities that she might be interested in. She will be here for about three weeks. I have already thought of going to the beach, Woodburn outlet mall, and Silver Creek Falls. She is going to the Capitol, Mt. Hood, and a Blazer game. I need ideas. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

music concerts movies basically everything is fascinating when visiting another country

When I was in Oregon I really liked seeing the Tillamook cheese factory. Maybe she would like to see some local industry like that, like fishing boats or local woodworking crafts, etc. Is there an Indian reservation where you are? I bet she would like visiting that too - they don't have those in Germany!

everything you would do with your best friend. Try to do a lot because before you know it she'll be gone. You may be happy at first, but when she's gone for a while, it'll hit you hard. Trust me I have experience

accomodation for an international student, Luebeck Germany?
I shall be staying for winter semester in Luebeck germany, the hospital where i am training doesnt provide accomodation, i am wondering what are the least costy options ? I am applying for studentenwerk, but not sure am gonna find a place there for my stay , any other options any other international student houses available ? Thx in advance

Can I pay off my student loans while living in Germany?
I want to move to Germany and i would like to know if it is possible to pay off my student loans while living there so i dont have to wait in the US for me to pay them off. And if i can then how would i send the money to the US?

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind you paying them wherever the hell you reside. I'm sure they have a department to handle incoming payments. Just send it to the correct department. Always make sure you have copies of your checks or in the case of a credit card a copy of the transaction because you never know when they will try to act like you haven't paid them. And if that time comes, you will have the proof.

Yes you can pay off your student loans while living in Germany, that is, if you can afford moving to Germany. If you can, then by all means go. When you are in Germany, you'll probably have to wire money to a bank account in the US which the University/College/Student Loans office would feed out of. To set something like this up it is best that you go to your bank and talk with someone who is a professional.

I think you have to check to see if they even let you stay away from the US for more than a specified amount of time! When there is a debt issue involved, usually they don't like to see the one who is in debt is living anywhere other than the US. They obviously might think that it would be harder to track you down and if you leave, you might not show up and never pay back your loans!

I live in the U.S., and would really like to be an exchange student to Germany. I talked it over with my family, and they think it's a great idea. I was just wondering, what are some of the best organizations to do this with? There are so many... so what is the best one to be an exchange student through?

I'm going to be an exchange student in Germany, but track is important, what kind of teams do they have?
I have heard that high school teams are unavailable in Germany, and that they only have club teams. Is this true? Are these teams satisfactory? Running is more than a hobby for me, it is a career choice. Please give me as much detail as possible concerning the opportunities and practice schedules of cross country/track teams for high school athletes in Germany.

Generally speaking, in Germany and most of Europe, school sports are not at any height as here in America. Their is no school soccer(football) team that everyone goes to. Simply it is because school's are generally educational strictly in Europe and you can take gym where you learn sports. Don't get me wrong though, Germany is one of the most athletic nations in the world, if not the most. Soccer is HUGE in Germany, along with winter sports (Skiing especially), and track sports as you said yourself, it is just that normally you have to join some sort of club, that can cost money.
