Can I pay off my student loans while living in Germany?

Can I pay off my student loans while living in Germany?
I want to move to Germany and i would like to know if it is possible to pay off my student loans while living there so i dont have to wait in the US for me to pay them off. And if i can then how would i send the money to the US?

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind you paying them wherever the hell you reside. I'm sure they have a department to handle incoming payments. Just send it to the correct department. Always make sure you have copies of your checks or in the case of a credit card a copy of the transaction because you never know when they will try to act like you haven't paid them. And if that time comes, you will have the proof.

Yes you can pay off your student loans while living in Germany, that is, if you can afford moving to Germany. If you can, then by all means go. When you are in Germany, you'll probably have to wire money to a bank account in the US which the University/College/Student Loans office would feed out of. To set something like this up it is best that you go to your bank and talk with someone who is a professional.

I think you have to check to see if they even let you stay away from the US for more than a specified amount of time! When there is a debt issue involved, usually they don't like to see the one who is in debt is living anywhere other than the US. They obviously might think that it would be harder to track you down and if you leave, you might not show up and never pay back your loans!
