What kind of food or candy is only found in the U.S., and not Germany?
I'm an exchange student in Germany for 3 three months, and for Christmas, I would like to give my host family some American food/candy/or anything cool that can't be found here in Germany. My mom is sending a box of stuff and I need to tell her what to bring. Any ideas?

If your mom is on the east coast of the US, ask for saltwater taffy. :9

They probably have limited access to most sweets as there are plenty of Americans(Air Bases in Germany. However you can't get more American than Hershey and there will be lots of Hershey products they will never have tried.

I couldn't say what is or is not available in Germany. I do know that on a recent trip to Greece, I brought a bag of Swedish Fish candies with me & they had no idea what they were, but I would assume they probably DO have THOSE in Germany. However, I found this discussion on what foods Americans & Canadians miss while living in Germany that might help you: http://www.toytowngermany.com/lofi/index.php/t85403.html

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are a hit with my German friends. I get lots of request for them.
