what can I do to stay in Germany when my student visa runs out?
So it runs out in November and I've been planning to engage my girlfriend this month or the next and I'm wondering because I don't want to leave My girlfriend and Germany what can I do to Extend the visa time or possibly get a new visa? My girlfriend is German and i plan to engage her this month or the next but my visa expires in november. What can I do to get a new visa or is it possible to leave the country and return to get 3 extra months when it runs out? I'm Australian

marry your girlfriend before november and you should be granted a permanent visa for germany as long as your gf is german

If you are an American, if you leave the country and come back, your passport acts as a 90 day visa.

If possible you should place that question right to someone who is in charge at the local Foreign office.(my personal opinion)
