I'm an Asian American student going to Germany?
I'm 16 and a girl, going with the rest of my class to Germany this summer. I'm kind of frightened by racial discrimination. I will be staying at my exchange student's house for about 3 weeks and afraid I will not fit in or the German students will not like me. I really want to go, but I'm not so sure how I will be treated there.

Well - are you frightened in your hometown? If not so do your things just as usual. You,re not coming alone as you say. Each one of your classmates shout keep an extra watch one each one during your stay. That's all about.

to which city are you going to? it really depends on, which place in germany you are going to. for instance, there are many multicultural cities, e.g. berlin, frankfurt, hamburg, düsseldorf, cologne and others, which have a high percentage of asians and other 'non-caucasian' immigrants/citizens. i think that the german students (many with foreign origin) in school won't discriminate you, because you are asian. (the situation may different in a little village, which hasn't a sizeable foreign population.) however, don't be scared to come to germany, it's an (in the most states) open-minded country and it's becoming more and more multicultural.
